Piaţa Mare

I hope to be able to write a bit more about this photo, but at the very least I can let you know that this is the main square in the heart of Sibiu. While it may not be entirely obvious, the architecture and over all feel of this square and the town as a whole is very German.

Anyone care to elaborate why? =)

Because Sibiu was founded by the Saxons who were colonised in Transylvania in the 12th century.

You're lucky I'm on holiday and I haven't got enought time to tell stories...:)) But I'll be back!
